How To Get Started Riding Gravel

So what is gravel cycling? Well, it depends on who you ask. To some people, gravel cycling is simply riding on unpaved roads and trails. To others, it's anything but the road and the trail. And to still others, gravel cycling is the fastest growing category of cycling in the US, and a new lifestyle.

For the purpose of this series of articles, I'll define gravel cycling as riding on unpaved roads, trails, bike paths, and paths. There are many unpaved rural roads that aren't gravel, but for the purpose of this article I'll assume that you're riding on unpaved roads.

Gravel cycling is also called all-road or adventure cycling because it encompasses all of the non-paved roads, trails, and paths. It's also the fastest growing category of cycling in the US. In fact, it's the fastest growing category of cycling in the world. While mountain biking brought cycling to the forefront in the US and the world, gravel cycling is the new kid on the block.

Gravel cycling is a great way to get outside and enjoy the world around you. It's also a great way to get some exercise, and it's fun. But more importantly, it's a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Gravel cycling is a great community, and it's a lot of fun to be part of it.

5 TIPS FOR THE GRAVEL CURIOUS

If you're just starting out, here are a few tips that will make your experience more pleasant.

BE PATIENT

Riding on gravel takes a while to get used to. It's not like riding on the road, and it's not like riding on the trail. It's something completely different. Just remember that you're doing something completely new, and it takes a while to get used to.

WATCH VIDEOS

One of the best ways to get started is to watch some videos. You can learn a lot from videos, and you can also see some of the cool places that you will ride.

READ BOOKS

Books are another great way to learn about riding on gravel. You'll see how people ride, and you'll see some of the techniques that you can use.

GO WITH A GROUP

Another great way to get started is to go with a group of riders. You'll learn a lot from your friends, and you can also have a lot of fun.

BE SAFE

The most important thing is to be safe. Don't try to ride places that you aren't sure of. Take it slow, and use common sense.
